as a starting point and/or general warning, i rarely use capitalization, unless i'm writing something serious or freaking out.
on that note, i am very rarely serious.
my name is sidney. no, not like the city in australia, no matter how many jokes you make about it.
i have clinically certified OCD. and, much to ginnie_jazz's chagrin, i am not at all shy about it.
i have the immune system of a kumquat.
i am currently slogging my way through my third year of high school, trying to earn myself an IB diploma with as few stomach ulcers possible.
i'm an aspiring writer (link to fics in sidebar), daughter of two diehard journalists. diehard, as in: from the time when newsrooms had more nicotine than oxygen and 'fuck' was the most commonly used word.
one cat, one dog, two kittens - respectively, india (a.k.a. indiana jonesy, india ink, indy, indy-cat, black furry soccerball), sasquatch, more commonly referred to as 'sassy' (a.k.a. sassafras, sassmo, round hound, "fierce guard dog"), otis (oti, helter), and julian (jules, skelter).
i was raised catholic but i have, since my confirmation, distanced myself from the religion. i could be best described as agnostic at the moment, though i still practice aspects of the catholic religion (such as saying the rosary, nightly prayers, sign of the cross, the bible).
i don't believe in the consumption of alcohol, nor do i condone the use of drugs. technically, i can be classified as old-school straight edge - youth crew and on? nah. sorry, meat is too fuckin' tasty - but i don't really identify as straight edge.
i like to think of myself as very accepting of others, but in my experience, i've found that people who claim that are often the most judgemental. i fail to sometimes, but i strive to accept everyone. except republicans. snarl.
i do read fanfiction, usually of the slash variety. bandom is my preferred poison, but i've dabbled in anime and harry potter as well. if you don't like fanfiction, i really don't want to hear about it. because, frankly, everyone is welcome to their own opinion, and it would be kind of you to leave mine alone.
i like: tattoos, reading, commas, russia(ns), and whimsy.
i dislike: homophobia, hipsters, snobs, judges, and carrots.

i drink more coke zero than can possibly be healthy. roughly two bottles a day - four cans. plus my tiny bladder. :|
in the future, i plan to get a dog and name him/her 'quadratic formula'. honest intention. i also plan to name a cat 'mercury' and birth/adopt/steal a son so as to name him 'freddie' as a tribute to mr. farrokh bulsara himself. and my other son/kidnappee will be named julian juliet baptiste delouche kropp-sullivan [insert last name].
i refer to adam (g)lambert as my ~HOMOSEXUAL SPARKLE SOULMATE on a daily basis. i fell in love with him sometime around his rendition of 'ring of fire,' even though it was the most terrifying cover of johnny cash that i've ever heard. then his version of 'mad world' just did it for me. my unfortunate father had to watch me writhe at the tv despairingly.
